Hi,

I am looking in the market for a Laptop. All I am using it for is internet access, iTunes (other music programs too), Counter-strike, MSN and just other random stuff for school. If anybody could recommend me a good laptop to buy, that would be able to run all of this stuff no problem, I would greatly appreciate it. I also may want to play FFXI for the PC on this too.

These are the specs for FFXI:
Minimum Requirements:
Operating System: Microsoft® Windows® 2000 / XP
CPU: Intel® Pentium®III 800Mhz or faster processor
Memory: 128 MB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA® GeForce™ series graphics processing unit with 32MB or ATI® RADEON™ 9000 series graphics card
Sound Card: DirectX®8.1 compatible sound card
Hard Drive Space: 6 GB free hard disk space
CD-ROM Speed: 4x CD-ROM drive (required only at installation)
Other: Keyboard, mouse

Recommend Specifications:
Operating System: Microsoft® Windows® XP
CPU: Intel® Pentium®4 processor
Memory: 256 MB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA® GeForceFX™ series graphics processing unit (AGP)
with 64MB of VRAM
Sound Card: DirectX®8.1 compatible sound card
Hard Drive Space: 6 GB free hard disk space
CD-ROM Speed: 32x CD-ROM drive or faster (required only at installation)
Internet Connection: Always-on Internet connection
Other: Keyboard with 10-key numeric pad, mouse with scroll wheel

I know absolutely nothing about computer, or else I would be searching around.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

hmm...well judging on the way the computer spec.s were listed, I'm guessing you just copied those from some recommendations for a specific game your trying to play? I would look at some dells for laptops as they have some great deals with the E1505, E1705 and even the XPS

What is your budget for this machine?

I think I'm gonna go with this Dell:

Components
Mobile AMD Sempron™ Processor 3500+
Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Basic
15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA Display with TrueLife™
1GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz, 2 Dimm
80GB Hard Drive
8X CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability
ATI RADEON® Xpress1150 with 256MB HyperMemory™
53 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery

Semprons are the slowest of the AMDs, try to get a slower Turion, it will be more powerful... Otherwise that spec looks pretty good.
