Hi, I recently downloaded a file which I believe to be something else and it cause my computer to go haywire.

it goes very slow with popups, here's my hijack this log

Hello,

I notice from your log that you are running more than one different Anti-Virus programs with Auto-protect enabled. McAfee and AVG Antivirus.
Never install more than one Antivirus and Firewall! Rather than giving you extra protection, it will decrease the reliability of it seriously!
The reason for this is that if both products have their automatic (Real-Time) protection switched on, your system may lock up due to both software products attempting to access the same file at the same time.
Also because more than one Antivirus and Firewall installed are not compatible with eachother, it can cause system performance problems and a serious system slowdown.

I would strongly advise you to only have one Anti-Virus with the Auto-Protect feature running at any one time!
If you decide to only keep one Anti-Virus installed,
you should uninstall the other(s) through the Add or Remove Programs option in Control Panel.

Reboot afterwards! Really important!!

After reboot,

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.
Make sure your Internet Explorer is closed when you click Fix Checked!

* Download Combofix to your desktop.
Doubleclick combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.

When finished and after reboot (in case it asks to reboot), it should open a log, combofix.txt.
Post this log in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.
