Hi, I have a K7T turbo motherboard from microstar with onboard sound. MB model # MS-6330 V3
It came with a driver CD which includes via 4in1 chipset drivers and sound drivers. I have all volumes turned to max and can barely hear sound through my desktop speakers or headphones. Can you help me with a fix for this?

I can provide more detailed info on my system if ya need it... just post what else ya need.
Thanx,
TJ

Have you checked the volume setting in software? Click the speaker icon in the system tray, or go to Control Panel->Sound & Audio Devices.

Check to see if you have the sigmatel sound chipset( Chip Integrated DirectSound AC97 Audio Sigmatel 9708 ).

http://www.soundcard...rs/80/80992.htm

I don't know if it will cure your problem but its worth a try.

And more sigmatel drivers

http://www.soundcard...panies/1690.htm

Make sure you know what sound device you have.

Try downloading the latest drivers from here. Those should work for your chipset, uninstall the old drivers from Add/Remove programs first though.
