I just bought a pioneer dvr-1810 and was wondering if I needed any additional cables. I noticed in reading the manual that it said something about an 80-wire cable is required for 16x dvd writing speed. I have a Dell Dimension 4600, is that something that is already installed, or will I have to buy the cable??

I would expect that to be in the Box – if it is a requirement – 80 –Pin is pretty much standard now – However, I am more worried about this statement -

I have a Dell Dimension 4600

Dell Products – Do Not Easily Upgrade – too well – I would go to their Website & see if it is compatible – Mainly in Size – Form – Fit – Dell is – Proprietary – and have there own Drive Dimension – I guess the Name – Dell Dimension – Says it all in a –Nutshell – Need I say more?? WOW – I never noticed that before – They take – Proprietary – to a New Level – What a Company -

I have seen too many Posts on Dell Upgrading – And all the bodywork required to get – Nonproprietary Equipment/Components – to Fit – Not to mention their – Wiring Standards –

Good Luck

Yeah, I chatted with someone and they said it should already be in there, it's installed, just gotta test it out now.
