You will think this is crazy. I have Windows XP and everytime the computer is restarted it acts like it can't find the right driver to display this widescreen monitor. I will spend hours trying to update the driver and then all of a sudden when I go to properties the correct settin will be there.

Please does anyone know how to correct this?

Thanks very much,

Ian

Your graphics card may simply lack support for that widescreen ratio. Even though it may be able to display the normal 4:3 ratio at high resolutions doesn't necessarily mean high-res widescreen will be among the available settings.

You may be able to use "Powerstrip" to set custom resolutions not otherwise available, but it's only compatible with certain brands of graphics cards.
Powerstrip is here: http://www.entechtai...om/util/ps.shtm

Failing that, you'll have to buy a new graphics card after first checking it can natively give you the resolution you need.
