Hello everyone, hope everyone is well!

Lately my PC freezes, even if its on and not being used...today it happened again, and when i pushed the start button and held it to turn it off, upon restart it didnt boot up, just had the option to system recovery(F11)3, 2,2 then nothing...just remained on that page...didnt continue to the "Windows" So again i restarted the same way as i just mentioed, and i hit F11 this time, to get an error message reading....

STOP: c0000218 {Registry File Failure} The Registry cannot load the hive file...

\systemroot\system32\config\SECURITY

or its log or alternate. It is corrupt, absent, or not writable.

Then after restarting again, i let it run past the few seconds before the option to push F11, like it usally does, and it booted up to "WINDOWS"

If anyone would like to comment on this, i would be greatly appreciative!

Hmm, maybe it was a fluke. Did it do it more on one occasion?

To tell ya the truth, that was the first time i pushed F11, but when i bought the PC, It happened once, upon boot up it came to the black screen, and that was it. I brought it in and when i got it back, it never started up the same since....always get the black screen with the F11 option with the 3 second countdown, till it then boots to "WINDOWS" It says other things too, just cant remember...i will restart and mention what itsays.

Upon start up...this is what it reads before going to "windows"....

Intel UNDI, PXE-2.0 (build 082)
Copyright © 1997-2000Intel Corporation

For Realtek RTL8139(X)/8130/810X PCI Fast Ethernet.
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM.

Press F11 to Start Recovery. 321... Then "windows" appears.

Maybe it was a fluke...seems to be ok now??
