As explained earlier in another post, my HD is on its way out, so, i want another one,i have been looking and have come across two types, Sata150 and sata300, my comp is Sata150, does that mean it won't accept SATA 300?

are they cross compatable?

Thanks guys!

I believe that the two types are backwards compatable but if you were to purchase a SATA300 HDD it will only run at SATA150 speeds which as im sure you no is 1.5Gb/s

i would suggest purchasing a SATA150 Drive with a large cache at least 8Mb or more that will ensure that you will maintain the performance of close to a SATA300 drive

Here is two i found on newegg.com

Hope that helps a little,
