Hi

My computer has been taking alot longer than usual to load windows.

I think it needs a good clean out but im not sure how.

I dont want to have to reinstall new OS but im thinking i might have to to start a fresh.

Any help would be much appretiated!

Im a bit of a novice when it comes to computers...not my thing.

Thanks so much!

start by reading the thread
You Must Read This Before Posting A Hijackthis Log
in this forum
http://www.geekstogo...hp?showforum=37

Then defrag your harddisk and run scandisk

Those three things will address much of your problems...if not, then return to this forum and we'll take a look

I followed all advice given, however the old computer still isnt improving.

What else can you suggest? I'll post a HJT log for you to have a look at.

Thanks again!

Did you go through all the steps listed in this thread ?

Before running Hijackthis, If you have anything disabled by MSConfig or any other startup manager, please re-enable it before scanning and then post the log.

Apologize if you have gone through all the steps. Just thought I would mention.
