Extremely slow after new hardware install

Sorry if I came off offensive, but I was really just frustrated with my computer that, despite your helpful diagnostics, wasn't showing any improvement and it was taking forever to complete scans (the computer's fault).

But, the good news is that I have found the source of the problem and I am currently learning how to fix it. The problem was with the USB ports. I used Process Explorer to identify what major thread was using up memory in the system process. I "suspended" it for now, which has given me back 99 system idle process, but I'm going to uninstall the USB driver(s) and let them reinstall.
