When I try to install FF XI it asks me to close my anti-virus software to do an uninstall. I followed the instructions and got an error message that read: Error 1316.A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file C:\WINDOWS|Installer\FINAL FANTASY XI.msi.
I installed the software previously but decided I didn't want to use it at the time so I had removed it from my system. I don't remember how I did that though. I don't see any trace of it on my system. I wonder if it's in my registry but I don't know how to remove it.

microsoft makes a msi cleaner utility. install it, and select only finaly fantasy and then select remove at the bottom. Then install away.
