:whistling: I have a compaq evo 510 that won't turn on. The display says it is going to sleep. When I try to reboot, there is one short beep and two long beeps. It won't boot from the restore CD. How do I fix this?

Hi forgap...

The beep code you describe is usually associated with a bad video adapter...either on-board or PCI/AGP. Have you another card you can try in the machine?

Another thing you might try is setting the BIOS Defaults in BIOS Setup. I have seen BIOS settings do this, but it isn't a common cause.
