cant delete a folder on my desktop

Hi all. I have a folder located on my desktop and when i try to delete it i get an error message saying
"cannot delete file: cannot read from the source file or disk" and i cant delete the folder. Any suggestions?

Usually this is caused by the recycle bin being full. did you empty it?

yes the recycle bin is completely empty

Try to delete the file in safe mode.

Hi Dookie
I have had this problem before. It make be a download program that u removed improperly which removed the unistall portion of file ! But I opened documents folder and drug the file into the documents folder then i deleted it. If this doesnt work maybe you can also find it in your programs and just delete it from there.
