Hi,
I'm running Windows XP Home, version 5.1, Build 2600, SP2 and have a card reader attached.
I've got a 1.0G SanDisk SD card in it.

I'm trying to put mp3s on it.
After I get it half full, it won't allow me to write any more mp3s to it.

Do I need to partition it? If so how?
Do I need to reformat it?

You don't partition memory cards, but you can try formatting it whilst reader is attached to the PC (right-click the drive letter in Windows Explorer, select "Format").

Windows will only let you have up to about 512 files in the root of the drive.

Therefore make a new folder and add MP3s into the new folder. There is no such limit on the content of folders.
