I just recently downloaded a freeware or shareware software program (can't remember the exact name since it wasn't the program after all..)
It was actually a virus I'm guessing.
It kept causing little pop-ups in the icon box by my cpu clock.

I got rid of problem #1, now the problem is I have a virus stuck in my system, I'm guessing its called bar88.DLL or something
It could be a little more detail to it but it seems impossible to get rid of.
First I was unable to use task manager which I just got back running...
Now I'm unable to clear my background from the screen its on which is black.
It's making my system run a little slow. I already used hijackthis and removed a couple of unecessary things (such as isaddon.exe)but once I tried removing bar.dll it tells me that iexplorer.exe needs to be closed before uninstalling.

Now the problem to that is..I already uninstalled internet explorer so there should be no reason of it not being able to be removed.
Not saying that a virus is as easy as an uninstallment but it just didn't work.

Can anyone suggest a good software to remove this?
I'd appreciate it....
