I have a presario 2500 laptop that has a 256 meg ram chip installed, but in windows it shows that the computer only recognizes 190 megabytes. Any info would be much appreciated.

For the life of me i couldnt find any info on this subject except for a post on another forum from google. I think i must just not be typing in the correct search string for google to bring back the info i need.
Thanks

Laptops use part of system memory for the graphics. Hence why you're missing 64Mb, its being used to put a picture on your screen.
