HI, I HAVE A SPEEDTOUCH 330 USB ADSL MODEM AND THE INTERNET KEEPS DISCONNECTING LIKE CRAZY!! I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING, REINSTALLING THE DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE, TRYING IT IN ANOTHER USB INPUT, I EVEN REINSTALLED WINDOWS! THE FUNNY THING IS THAT THIS STARTED HAPPENING AFTER I UPDATED MY BIOS ON MY INTEL D946GZIS MOTHERBOARD! BEFORE THAT I NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM! I TRIED USING DIFFERENT PHONE LINES AND EVEN DIFFERENT PHONE SOCKETS. I NOTICED ONE THING ABOUT THE MODEM, THERE ARE TWO LIGHTS ONE FOR THE USB AND ONE FOR THE ADSL LINE, THE USB LIGHT KEEPS DIMMING, I HAVE HEARD IT MIGHT BE THE MODEM IS NOT GETTING ENOUGH POWER? BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT COULD BE, SO PLEASE HELP ME!! AND IF YOU CAN, FIND A DOWNLOAD LINK FOR THE OLDER BIOS FOR MY BOARD, THE ONE RIGHT BEFORE THE NEW ONE THAT'S OUT, I WOULD REALLY APRECIATE THAT. I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP!

Hi there. I had the same modem when I was with TalkTalk broadband. I found if the USB light is flashing(usually red) it is either not getting enough power, or USB ports have been disabled in the BIOS. Try checking the BIOS setting for that. If the ADSL green light flashes(which always happened with me) - this was because my service provider sucked and I advise everyone not to use TalkTalk.

I DID CHECK THE BIOS AND USB 2.0 AND USB LEGACY ARE BOTH ENABLED? OTHER THAN THAT I DON'T KNOW WHERE ELSE THE PROBLEM CAN BE FROM? I CHECKED ALL THE USB PORT IN DEVICE MANAGER AND THEY ALL SEEM TO BE FINE. I THINK THIS BIOS UPDATE I DID SCREWED UP THE USB SIDE OF THE COMPUTER?

Since the problem did not exist before the BIOS update, I advise you to reflash the BIOS back to the BIOS version you had before.
Here is a link to version 048:

I BELEIVE THAT'S THE BIOS I HAVE AT THIS TIME, RIGHT? I HAVE THE "TS94610J.86A.0067.EB" AND I WANT THE BIOS RIGHT BEFORE THIS ONE.

CAN THE PROBLEM THAT THERE IS NO ADSL SYNCRONOSATION AND OR THE INTERNET CONNECTION KEEPS DROPING, BE CAUSED BY 2 OR MORE DEVICES USING THE SAME COM PORT? I CAME TO THIS THOUGHT WHEN I WAS IN THE CONNECTION PROPERTIES FOR MICROSOFT ACTIVE SYNCE AND THERE WAS AN OPTION FOR COM PORT 1 TO BE USED, SO I UNCHECKED AND AFTER A REBOOT THE ADSL LIGHT STAYED STEADY? I AM NOT SURE IF THAT WAS THE PROBLEM, BECAUSE BEFORE THAT CHANGE, THE CONNECTION CAME AND WENT EVEN WHEN THE PORT WAS USED BY MICROSOFT ACTIVE SYNCE? SO, I AM REALLY CONFUSED PLEASE HELP!
