please help my computer is super slow connecting to websites, if it is

for 2 days now, my computer has been super slow connecting to the web, and my wireless card driver is showing no internet connection, even though im able to connect to sites sporadically. before, if it showed that it was not connected to the internet, it would never connect to a site. now, when it seems like theres no correlation between being connected to the internet and bieng able to connect to a website. i've run avg antivirus, spybot, avg spyware remover, did a system restore to before this problem started happening. i dont know what to do.

p.s. every time i scan w/ avg antivirus, the only item it finds is downloader.generic3.cvh in explorer.exe. it says that it has fixed the problem, but if i re-scan immediately after, it finds the same problem, so idk if its fixed anything. thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.
