noticed a 16bit window open when surfing, had Mcaffe and spyware doctor running and monitoring. Still got through. hijacked browser tries to got to a windowos system32 file to fast to rear it all. system restore lost all it's restore points(errased) tried regstry mechanic restore feature, no change, scans from all three spyware virus and reg mechanic no problems found. Event Viewer review showed somthing interesting at time when I notice 16bit window come up and run it's code. "The System Restore filter encountered the unexpected error 0xC000009A while processing the file win.tmp on the volume hardisck volume1. it has stoped monitoring the volume" according to the research I have done this win.tmp file is one of many that a trojan attack will creat.
Ok thats bout all I can think of totally frustraded and ready the throw this machine. Anyone help
