At the end of the installeation it told me to restart the computer.
I restarted but just after loading the kernal it asked as follows

user name:
user name:
after typing in the password I set up during installation (I also tried "root" and not typing anything) as I didn't have a user name
Some times it doesn't even get his far and just says:
"respawning too fast disabled for 5 minutes"
If you have any ideas on what to try that would be great.
