Hi Guys!

IE7 has been acting a bit wonky. I checked msconfig's start up and found a blank entry in the start up. There's no "start up item" or "command," just the HKLM string.

I'm fairly computer illiterate. Should I head to malware or is this supposed to be there?

Thanks for your input!

In msconfig / start up, remove the tick for the blank entry, click apply, reboot, tick do not start the configuration utility when it gets to the desktop

Please follow the procedures outlined here: Malware Removal Guide

You will need a PC which can connect to the internet

Run all the programmes as advised then post a current Hijack This Log in a new topic in the Malware Forum

For the purpose of accurate malware analysis, Hijack This Logs are only dealt with in the Malware Forum. Posting them anywhere else will result in a delayed response

If you are unable to run any of the programmes, please ask for advice in the Malware Forum

Thanks Keith. Will do. You can close this topic out and I will proceed in malware forum.
