I used brute force uninstaller and alcra plus remover from the 'How to stop and undo the effects of the Alcra aka Alcan Worm, Your computer WILL need further cleaning' post. So i guess this may need further cleaning, i don't know enough to know what to do.If i could get some help whenever your ready, discovered iit was W32.Alcra.F when i googled the problem i was having, which was a box that appeared every time upon startup saying steup detected a corruption, steup will now terminate if thats any use in knowing whats wrong with it.Thanks.

Hello eoin898,

You have more than one infection. We can´t clean them all in one time, so it is vital that you come back untill we have everything fixed.

Please download FixWareout from here:
http://downloads.sub.../Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. If your firewall gives an alert, (because this tool will download an additional file from the internet), please don't let your firewall block it, but allow it instead.
Then you will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
Once the desktop loads please post the text that will open (report.txt)

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\VxD\MSTCP: NameServer = 85.255.113.202,85.255.112.202

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Close HiJackthis,

Now post the contents of report.txt and a new Hijackthislog.
