After trying to uninstall and install again Norton System Works, I found a problem with the Windows XP - SP2 Operating System:
Help and Support is not working anymore.

I've already manually erase all the occurences of Symantec and Norton on registry and also reinstall XP-SP2.

I can't open my Help and Support page, however the help files of other aplications are working.

Also IExplore doesn't work properly. When doing Help - About, no information about the current version.

Also MSINFO32 not working.

I thing all of these is related with Help and Support not working.

Could you give me more guidance on this subject?

I've just found the solution in another forum, after two days of continuous search ....

It's like this, giving the name of the author:

Give this a try and see if it resolves some (if not all) of the things that
do not work.....

Go to Start>Run and key in:
regsvr32 jscript.dll
Click on OK or hit ENTER
Click on OK in the Regsvr32 dialogue box

Go to Start>Run and key in:
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
Click on OK or hit ENTER
Click on OK in the Regsvr32 dialogue box

Go to Start>Run and key in:
regsvr32 mshtml.dll
Click on OK or hit ENTER
Click on OK in the Regsvr32 dialogue box

===================================================

I've created a simple batch program, that would run in your cmd window:

Just copy this text to a file, name it: c:\windows\HelpFix.bat

cd %SystemRoot%\system32
regsvr32.exe %SystemRoot%\system32\jscript.dll
regsvr32.exe %SystemRoot%\system32\vbscript.dll
regsvr32.exe %SystemRoot%\system32\mshtml.dll

Go to Start>Run and key in:
HelpFix

====
After that, my Help and Suport worked again and also IExplore.

How do you create a System Restauration Point without this?
This is also very important for other programs to work.

Kind regards,
Candido Rodrigues
