I am unable to log onto a site. I use Windows XP and Internet Explorer 7. I have tried with the firewall turned off. Where do I need to go to unblock? Thanks

This is just one site. I can not go to the page. I feel like something on my computer is blocking it. I have called my Internet provider and they can reach it. Thanks

That can happen if the server has banned your account

Use another PC with a different IP Address to get their contact details so you can ask them

the other idea is that it could be that you have blocked that site or your protection has done that for you, have a look in your host folder and see if it is there, here is my canned about blocking sites so just do the opposite to unblock them

to block unwanted sites from XP

runbox command
- press keyboard buttons: winkey + r
- paste this in slot: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
- press: enter
- open with: notepad
(the host file opens)
- click in the bottom of the window
(in order to write that is)
- press: enter
(for new line)
- paste in the new line you have just made: 127.0.0.1
- type in same line after the numbers you have pasted the site name
(example: 127.0.0.1 www.blockthiswebsite.com)
- close window
- press: save
