heloo..im having problems with this notebook using windows xp starter edition os.I managed to clean it
from viruses n other msc programs,but the problem was still there...sigh..
The problems
1.right clik option didn't pop up when I right click on the taskbar

2.I cant even see the user setting icon on the control panel

3.log off option in start menu dissapear

4.No user selection even in safe mode > usually there will be 2 account to log in right, addministor and default user

5.Many option to setting windows has been disabled

p/s im able to run task manager,regedit and other utilites programs provided by the windows & i made some changed at registry key value to re-enable all the option above,but automatically the registry value that i changed reset back to its previous state.Oh,no error message during startup.all ok

It sounds like you might have some malware still lurking in the shadows.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty (and you may not be) then post a hijackthis log in THE MALWARE FORUM forum.
(Posting HiJack This logs in any other forum other than the malware forum is forbidden. If you post an HJT log in any other forum, it will be removed and it will take you longer to get help, so please make sure you only post HJT logs in the malware forum)

Once you get the "all-clear" from Malware, if you continue to have these issues, please come back to this thread and we'll take it from there.
