homepage taken over..please help

http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx is my homepage and i cant get rid of it? also... I can't get "Windows Update" or "Microsoft update" to appear?? very strange? explorer 7

Hi Riddell...

Because all these symptoms can be caused by malware, I would suggest you start by letting our experts have a look at the problem first off.

Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions you'll find there.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- post a hijackthis log in THAT forum. Do Not reply to or "bump" your own topic...if it shows a reply, it may be overlooked as one that is being worked on.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

This is the default URL for Internet Explorer 7.
Let it run through, pick your options, then there's an option, "Go to my Home Page". After that it should not prompt again.

Mine uses as a default in IE 7: http://www.msn.com/, but not being able to change it, as I can, may indicate Malware unless Riddell uses something like Spybot Search & Destroy where you can lock changes out under Settings.
