JPG thumbnails dont show up correctly

ive tried different registry fixes and stuff.
whats going on is..normally the JPG thumbnails show on the desktop with a certain thumbnail.
well they dont show up with that thumbnail,instead they show up with the thumbnail that files show up with when windows doesnt know what type of file it is.
anyone help me on this?

Hi scirocco85...

Sounds like you need to set the file association for JPG's. Open Control Panel and double click on "Folder Options". Under the "File Types" tab, scroll down the list in the top box and select JPG, in the bottom box, click the "Change" button, choose the application you want to open these files by default, and "Apply" the change. Do the same for JPEG and any other image file type you want to open using that application.
