Try using MSinfo32. Go to Start then go to Run. In the Run input field type in MSinfo32 and press enter. Total Physical Memory will tell you how much RAM you have. The only issue you may run into is if you have an on board video adapter. It will share your main computer RAM. You could look in the BIOS and see how much RAM is reported there.
