Yes even though it is new, its possible the memory can be bad.
Just take it back and get it replaced.


Hey guys I am a technician/developer of the said product for a company I will not name, I know the issue, please RMA it already. If I have to be more blunt then sorry...

Something that is funny about this problem is the majority of them are caused by incorrect installation via bending the chip.
