ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT OF MY DESKTOP THERE IS A HORIZONTAL LIST OF SYMBOLS CALLED THE TASK BAR.
ONE OF THE SYMBOLS IS A YELLOW TRIANGLE . WHEN I CLICK ON IT IT SAYS THAT MY PHOTOSMART 8200 PRINTER IS NOT CONNECTED.
HOWEVER MY PRINTER IS CONNECTED AND PRINTS ON COMMAND.
HOW DO I GET RID OF THE YELLOW TRIANGLE. I TRIED TO RIGHT CLICK ON IT BUT NOTHING HAPPENS.

Go into the Event Viewer in the Administrative Tools and see if there is an error message related to the printer. If there is please copy&paste and post it here.
It may be someting as simple as the printer's monitoring software is corrupted.

- right hand click: taskbar
- choose: properties
- click the box: customise
- click the icon you don't want to see
- choose: always hide
