:whistling: I am getting a "Generic Host Process for WIN32 Services" error. When I view the details, it lists scvhost.exe and ntdll.dll.

BACKGROUND: A while back I installed a new hard drive "D" with a fresh XP SP2 install and re-loaded my software there also. I now boot off the new D-Drive. I would like to reformat the old C-Drive and use it for backup.

PROBLEM: Before reformatting the C-Drive, I disabled it to test things out and re-booted. This produced the error message. I also get the same message when I try to expand "My Computer" in Windows Explorer. If I enable the C-Drive I no longer get the error. I suspect that Windows of a program is looking to "C" to find something.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks - Joe

Tyger,
