Having just installed broadband and a router I now find that on booting up my computor starts detects discs, then stops for 5 minutes, then suddenly continues to boot up as normal. Any ideas?? The only change I have made in the bios so far is to disable the onboard LAN as I am using a netgear311 card to connect to internet.
would appreciate help as the 5 min wait seems like days.
thanks

Welcome moonmothshadow <_<

Try bootvis.exe from Microsoft. It will identify what's responsible for the delay.
