Ok, I'm sure I saw similar topics before, all over the place,, but I want to be absolutely sure with direct input from you guys that it can't be done the way I want to.

My computer is XP pro, corporate edition. My brother's computer is XP home edition. I also have a third computer, also on XP corp, who has no problems accessing the files and printers that I've shared (yes, disabled simple file sharing, for enhanced security)

But if I do that, the XP home machine can no longer use the printer.

Is there a way for me to keep the simple sharing off, and still have the XP home machine use the printer?

Thanks.

Simple File Sharing is the only option available in XP Home for this kind of purpose. Therefore if you want to share the files and printers from XP Home it has to be done this way.

Yes, that's exactly why I am asking, because most articles are about the home computer being the server..

In my case, I want the PRO computer to be server, and the home to be Client. And even there, it doestn work.
