Please Help <_<

I've been having multiple issues with my computer. To start with I should explain that I bought it at a Expo Show - when I tried the Company whom sold it to me's Techie said I needed to contact Gateway, Gateway won't support because I didn't buy direct, but from another comp. store. So my info is very limited. For example - I have no clue what chip set/motherboard I'm running.

One of the Major issues is that I have No Sound (yet, it says all the is working properly , no conflicts or anything). As I DJ and produce not having Sound is a pain.

I have also had multiple error messages and lock-ups , here are a couple of the messages:

Exception 0E occurd @ 0028:C001A030.VxDNdis(01)+00002948-called from 028:C023FS8B in VxD2Vmm(0c)+0000058B
-------------------
Nwiz has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL
-------------------
Acctmgr has caused error in unknown (this has came up a few times with diffent first parts) ie: Ccapp has caused an error in uknown, , a few others but can't remember right off hand (and too tired to find list)

Here is also a little ore info on my beast:
As from Coputer's System Info---

Memory:256 MB
Processor: AMD Athlon™ Processor 952 MHz
Sound Device (from System info)
Name Creative AudioPCI (ES1371,ES1373) (WDM)
Manufacturer Not Available
Status Unknown

Name Creative AudioPCI (ES1370), SB PCI 64/128 (WDM)
Manufacturer Creative Technology Ltd.
Status OK
IRQ Channel IRQ 5

Driver c:\windows\system\mmdevldr.vxd (4.90.3000, 17.62 KB (18,043 bytes), Not Available)

Enough for now I will post a Hijackthis.log next for ya .......

Any help is greatly appreciated
----Also I can't figure how I'm using 84% of my RAM , any help there to is cool, I do plan on adding another 256.

Thanks again

Reboot in safe mode (by tapping F8 at startup and select safe mode from the menu).

Please move Hijack This to a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible, otherwise it will scatter backups all over your desktop.

Go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.
C:\PROGRAM FILES\MYWEBSEARCH\BAR\2.BIN\MWSOEMON.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\CPQPSCP.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\CIJ2P2PS.EXE

Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\CPQPSCP.EXE <-this file
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\CIJ2P2PS.EXE <- this file
C:\PROGRAM FILES\MYWEBSEARCH\ <- this folder
C:\PROGRAM FILES\KONTIKI\ <- this folder

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log.

:D Ok, here's the low down.

I went through and did like you asked per the last post, but when i rebooted it would not let me log onto internet. So i reset the computer and this time it froze on the loading screen and popped up error: Spool32 caused and error in KERNEL32.

Ugh! <_<
I had to use my Go Back program to revert drive to get it back up and running. I will try once more tonight to do what you asked and will repost log again later tonight.

I appreciate your help and patience very much :D

That's strange :D Try running Ad-aware, when finished post a new log.

Using Ad-aware: Open Ad-Aware and use the Check for updates now link. Download and accept the latest reference file. When finished click the Start button. When done scanning, the Abort button will change to Next. Click the Next button. Right-click in the Scanning Results window and click "Select all objects". Then click the "Next" button and confirm that you want to delete the selected entries.

When finished, Reboot your computer. Finally, reply to this post with a new HiJackThis log so we can look for any nasties that may have been missed. <_<

is it just me or is WIN ME the pucker of OS's.

I didn't upgrade to XP , due to older programs that wouldn't run......would I be better off with XP and/or a multiple OS system.................Also could some of my sound problems be related to the new Video Card (since it has and over rides my WIN ME BIOS)??

Just wondering

Thx for the Help guys

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [CIJ2P2PSERVER] CIJ2P2PS.EXE

Reboot in safe mode (by tapping F8 at startup and select safe mode from the menu).
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\CIJ2P2PS.EXE <- this file

Ok here's most recent Hijack Log.......I think I've removed everything you asked. <_<

I still have no sound :P :D and I feel for those whom are hearing impared :o

Being that I DJ and am an avid PC game player it has finally become too much of wasted space, and headaches not being able to use this comp. to it's fullest. It has pressed my knowledge and temper to the limit. :D :D

I hope you guys can help further, I really appreciate this as $$$ can be tight with a 4 month old and appreciate the patience as time is limited now with the little guy.

Big Thanks
Lance
:D

Just noticed this in your original post:

Driver c:\windows\system\vmm32.vxd (, 1,019.88 KB (1,044,352 bytes), Not Available)
Driver c:\windows\system\mmdevldr.vxd (4.90.3000, 17.62 KB (18,043 bytes), Not Available)

Looks like you're having issues with your sound card driver. Have you tried reinstalling?

What driver's do I need to download and where can I find these items? :D
