I keep hitting sites which say things like this:-

"1. CLICK HERE to take you to the Adobe Flash download web site (Flash Player).
2. Click the ‘Install Now’ button to automatically download and install Adobe Flash Player into your computer.
3. Depending on your security settings, you may see a ‘Security Warning’ dialogue box. Click ‘YES’ to accept the ActiveX control.
4. When you see the Flash Player logo and text, the installation has been successful. "

The D/l and installation seems to go OK - and i get the animated logo to confirm.

I do not get any message about Active X Controls.

However, the site still keeps telling me I need to install Adobe Flash Player, no matter how many times I have already done just that!!!!!

Using IE7 I went to Tools/Internet Options/Security and clicked 'Reset Defaults' - in case I had some funny setting which might affect things. No joy.

Help, please?

Oh [bleep]!!!!!!

The reason I say that is, a few months ago I spent absolutely ages trying, with help from GtG, to get Java to work. After about 50 back-and-forths, i finally managed to get it running, by installing an older version (not the latest update). If I have to start all that again......

Seems, perhaps, Flash Player only works with the latest Java? or mebbe there is something in my system which is conflicting with the latest Java, and with Flash Player?

But, thanks for trying - appreciate it!
