I have a 1 gb mem stick and when i put it to any usb port on my computer it wont show up in my computer, when i put it in the red lite on computer starts flashing then stops ,its like the box dosn't know its there, help please and thank you very much dave gray

well first off, what version of windows are you running? If windows 98 or 98se then they do not automatically see usb drives. You would have to go to the manufacture website to see if they make a driver for it. ( for 98se maybe if you have 98 you may be out of luck... )

I HAVE WINDOWS HOME XP AND AT ONE POINT IT DID READ IT THEN COMPUTER WASNT USED FOR 1 MONTH THEN IT WONT READ, WHEN I GO TO MY COMP IT WONT SHOW ANY ADDED DEVICE, I DID GO TO DEVICE MANAGER AND BY ONE OF THE USB S IT HAS ! IN YELLOW

You will need to use a program like SIW to find out what motherboard you have and then download the MB utilities for the chipset and install them. Usually double clicking the exe file you downloaded will automatically install the drivers. Then check in device manager to see if the yellow mark has disappeared. If so, the USb should work then if the USB drive has not been wiped and reformatted.
