I made a topic about it before:here

and Trevuren helped me clean out my pc... but the problem still remains. I can't change my desktop!!! that's how it looks:

anyone has any ideas on how to remove this desktop and put back whatever i had before?

He has been batteling the same thing you and i have, but he actually clicked on the link and got some info. The company is apologizing and has issued a fix for the problem. I know this sounds suspect and i was leary to try it myself, but i figured how much worse can it get, besides, we are in a forum with a lot of people who know how to fix stuff. Anyway, i tried the link remove link and low and behold, all my original icons are back, my right click function is back, but i am still missing the ability to change my background. Someone else is helping me investigate the problem, but i truely believe this is a step in the right direction. Or it is not and this company is eventually going to reach through the screen and drag you in. Good luck.

Hello. I went to the Smartsecurity company website. They give you a free removal tool, but it doesnt work. they also tell you other things.... nothing works, so the company help is completely worthless... i even went ro REGEDIT and tried to change my desktop setting there,,.... nothing works. Still have the same red desktop..

i had the same thing and used the company fix to remove it from my desktop, which it did. .. But like someone else replied i still can't customize my desktop!
