I followed the help provided in topic #138. It worked fine until the repair option tried to boot the system and the same error message stopped the process. "Isas.exe-system error: When tring to update a password this return status indicates that the value provided the current password is not correct". I have tried many different ways to reboot, including last known good configuration and the above method with the retail disk. I need the data on my C: drive - Can anyone suggest a course of action?

Those 2 sites did not let me get past the error message and finish the repair.

Then I don't know that you have any othe option but a new installation of Windows. As long as you don't partition or format your hard drive, your data will be safe. However, you will have to reinstall all programs.
