There is no free version of windows which is your problem, g2g has strict guidelines on pirate operating systems and we cant help if you do have one. Your problem is an easy fix you should be able to work it out yourself.

are you serious? what did i do that is so wrong? i'm not asking for any "guidelines" on my system, i'm asking about my hard drive... Everybody i know uses a system like that... maybe even one of you guys are... but it's not even related... You wont find a tech site that has different rules at least not a good one, it would open us to possible legal problems to help you that and its also ethically wrong to help you when you have stolen your computers operating system. Its not like Windows XP is expensive now, Vista also isnt all that expensive you can also use Vista, the majority of people use legally obtained windows licences youll find most will buy them with a new computer or when they put a new one together, or if they no longer use the old system use the licence from that assuming it isn't OEM.

We are absolutely not retarded. How would you like it if you spend thousands of hours of a piece of work, only to watch it be stolen and have nothing in return for the work you did. There is nothing funny about piracy, if you can't afford it get lunix. Just to echo what Warriorscot has already said, Vista nor XP are even expensive, I found windows Premium OEM for 140$CND the other day, defiantly not breaking the bank.
I don't know about you but there is nothing funny regarding this issue stealing is stealing, whether it's over the internet of out of a local store, either way it's wrong and as it has already been mentioned there are legal issues with helping you, this site is highly regarded and we will are unable to help people that chose this route.
