Hi...have been working on son's computer for 2 days now. Initial symptoms were basic explorer hijacking and inappropriate pop=ups. His machine caused the household router to freeze, so thinking it was a router problem we upgraded. Now, his machine won't log on wirelessly at all (Netgear PCMCIA card is using WPA2), although it links up via ethernet cable. Four other machines at home log on no-problem. Have done so many scans I've become quite versed at the process. Nevertheless, we've done "AD-AWARE Plus" several times to the point it reports clean, Spybot, HiJackTHis, AVG Antispyware (in safe mode), Super Antispyware. THe computer is using McAfey Virus protect and has been updated routinely. It's running XP pro SP2.

Many trojans were removed with the last scan, but even tonight-attempting to open a new topic on GTG it crashed the explorer window (four times). I'm typing this from another computer. I've effectively completed the worksteps in your "click here' section".

Appreciate any help you can throw my way. Thanks-John
