Hello:

What's going on....

I'm in a casino environment. We're trying to roll our data to a HA box upstate. Replication is OK, but the role swap isn't happening. Our coporate office is under the impression that we need to set a default gateway on some of our OS2 boxes. We only have two or three of these systems so don't know too much about them.

Can any of you tell me how to change the default gateway in OS2?

Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Magus

yech....found a few things on google...but i can't verify since i don't have os/2 (thank god)
http://www.google.co... gateway in OS2
they all suggest adding a default gateway to a cmd file

All config is set on file located on your startup disk (C by default) on directory \MPTN\BIN. File name is SETUP.CMD
Edit this file By command E Setup.cmd

You must found something like :

REM This commands erase Route & Arp table
route -fh
arp -f

Rem this command set your adapter adress
ifconfig lan0 172.16.9.13 netmask 255.255.255.0

Rem this command set your gateway
route add default 194.78.102.65 1

Rem this command needed to forward IP packed !!!
ipgate on

It may be configurated by PM on OS2 system folder MPTN setup.

something like that
