When (my friend) installed Kubuntu 6.06 LTS, it was successful (while mine not, maybe my computer hates the color blue since I'd only got to install Ubuntu and not Kubuntu and Xubuntu, but don't mind since its not what I'm asking). But then, here's the prob: it showed up an error: *something* *something* error 18 (maybe GRUB error loading: error 18). Any clue?

Do you have an older BIOS? If so you might attempt to flash it and update it.

You also might not be able to install the GRUB bootloader in the MBR and may need to creat a small /boot partition to boot from, again, normally if the system is an older system.
