Hey there,

I was wondering on how I can secure my network with WEP or whatever.
I have DLink DSL G604T.

Need any other info just ask.

well...all the info for configuring security on your router is in the manual (any chance you've read it?)
once you've read the manual....you'll just need to follow those instructions and log into the router and make the described changes

This stops people from connecting to my network from close range (like outside the house etc) right?

it helps...it's completely possible to break a wep key...it's harder to break wpa...but it's do-able...
