Help, New computer, Windows Vista, bought Creative x-fi extreme gamer sound card after on- board 7.1 wasn't preforming. Downloaded all the drivers, updated them, and I only have sound coming from the front three and the sub woofer. I believe this is a Vista issue, anyone with similar issue and fixed them,,,help !

Drivers have yet to be released from creative for vista, they are due right away. Better late then never I guess.

Ad far as I can tell, drivers have been expected "right away" since the Vista launch date, which is when I ordered my computer. Fortuntely, I have on-board 7.1 audio on my mobo, which I am sure is not as good as my X-Fi, but better than nothing, since I have ZERO confidence that compatible drivers will ever been released.

:whistling:
Don't get down on it, the xi-fi sounds cards are very high end and if creative doesn't release drivers for these cards the company would go belly up. These cards are very high end and it is these people in which they market most of their speakers and hardware. It's taken them a while, but for good reason. Vista droped 3dsound and only supports openGL. So things are going to change pretty drastically. Be patient, if there not out by June then there's a real problem, even though it should be been released by now......
