Cant install anything

Well this is odd.. Im not sure when it started, but i cant install anything on this windows pro sp2. It always encounters an internal or unexpected error on various applications, and Ive noticed it usually occurs when it hits any .msi files. I havent been successful in installing any programs.

Without specific error message I'm not sure what situation with Installer to reference. It does occur that Installer itself must be replaced due to damaged files.
