Video games that contain high levels of action, such as Unreal Tournament, can actually improve your vision.

Researchers at the University of Rochester have shown that people who played action video games for a few hours a day over the course of a month improved by about 20 percent in their ability to identify letters presented in clutter—a visual acuity test similar to ones used in regular ophthalmology clinics.

In essence, playing video game improves your bottom line on a standard eye chart.

"Action video game play changes the way our brains process visual information," says Daphne Bavelier, professor of brain and cognitive sciences at the University of Rochester. "After just 30 hours, players showed a substantial increase in the spatial resolution of their vision, meaning they could see figures like those on an eye chart more clearly, even when other symbols crowded in."
now when your mom tells you to turn off the games you can tell her you're saving her money on glasses and contacts

I had this type of discussion last night with 9-year-old DS regarding why he can't have a mini-motorcycle.

He did ask if I knew who the Easter Bunny was...I told him it was someone who loved him very much. He then asked if it was me?

Did you remind him that was someone who loved him very much, and that excluded you? That's what I would have told my kids. :whistling:

Dude does that only work on XBOX? I've been playing unreal tournament for some time now and my numbers keep going up? I might end up looking like that monkey of yours.

These games also give people better reflexes, think of the money you'll save on auto accidents.
Also apperently people who play video games such as these are more likely to be a better surgen, for those who want to be, you had better get gaming.
