Nothing in here explains your problem....

A few I am unfamiliar with, but I can guess

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\IOSUBSYS\LEXLIGHTS.EXE
Part of your lexmark printer software?

O1 - Hosts: 64.91.255.87 www.dcsresearch.com
Used to a link to Diamond CS antitrojan program forums

O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Machine Debug Manager] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MDM.EXE
You can disable if you like

O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [UpdateHook] C:\WINDOWS\rundll32.exe AUHKNEW.DLL,RenameDll
O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [WU4_RegSvr] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\regsvr32.exe /s C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\AUHOOK.DLL

Do you have autocad?

------------------------------

Does this problem always present itself or only when online?

There are things that you could disable, but "bad" stuff....perhaps I am missing it.

Hmmm, taking a second look, that is not what I thought...but, what is it?

find these two files

C:\WINDOWS\AUHKNEW.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\AUHOOK.DLL

right click them, choose properties, choose VERSION tab...what information is presented?

I'm guessing you just did a windows update, just before posting your hijacklog? (or it occured inthe background)

Please post a new hijack log

I am leaning toward an old program accesssing a newly placed DLL. Callwave....I know what it is, but I wonder if it is still actively developed.

after the hijack log, I want to temporarily disable several things to see if we can isolate the issue

yep, they're gone....

Now, download START UP CONTROL PANEL
http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml
Install it (do not use the standaloen version)

In control panel, you will see a new applet (START UP)

click it

From the HKCU tab, uncheck the following
[C-Media Mixer]
[Ulead AutoDetector]
[LoadQM]
[REGSHAVE]
[SchedulingAgent]
[Machine Debug Manager]
[MsnMsgr]

From the Startup (user) section, uncheck
TextBridge Instant Access OCR
Event Reminder.lnk
Lexmark P122 Activitiy Indicator.lnk
Internet Answering Machine
Exif Launcher
reminder-ScanSoft Product Registration
Greetings Workshop Reminders
Norton System Doctor
CleanSweep Smart Sweep-Internet Sweep

Reboot.

See if the printer will install now (I don't think it will, but I wanted to check it before moving on).

Ok I did it, but in the HKCU there was only msn msgr I checked it. The rest of them were in Hklm I did not check them

The startup user had everything and the printer did not try to install.

Do check those in Hklm

Forget the printer....I have about 30 different threads I am working with and two moms...I got you two confused for a minute.

After reboot, does the problem continue?

Using start up control panel, recheck callwave entries....see if the problem recurs....if it does recur, this is a callwave error

You could also try reinstalling the software
