Yep thanks ....I'll look into getting the RAM..Once I'm done with that I'll bump the thread so I can look into getting the GC

K well talk to you then. By the way the 8600 from Nvidia are coming out monday (tomorrow) or tuesday. Can't remember what I read, but from what I have seen ATI will more then likely have better mid range cards.

Unfortunately ATI cards don't work in my computer..I bought a Radeon 1300X AGP and had it installed at best buy ( i didn't want to take chances cause the comp was still under warranty at the time) but it didn't work.. A different card worked, and the card I bought worked in a different computer, it was just my computer..

The guy also told me my MoBo was optimized for an nVidia card..

LOL, it's a BestBuy guy telling you [bleep].
Don't listen to them in the end, if they don't have an awnser for why something is happening they are told to tell you BS, to make them look better and so that bestbuy's reputation remains "highly regarded."
If its optimized, it might work better, but the competitor will still work on the motherboard, if you have a friend that has a ATI GPU, ask them about giving it a test run.

O well I think the 7600 + 1 gig of RAM will work better anyhow...

the 1300 would have been nice if it worked but I found out that Half-Life games and mods work better with nVidia cards anyhow...

I was surprised it didn't work it seemed like one of them 1 in amillion shots...My only regret is that I spent all the money I got back on the card...O well, hopefully within the next month I'll have enough for the Ram (and possibley the GC) and within the year I'll be able to buy the parts to build a PC...
