Hi fvalerio22, Welcome to Geeks to Go.

You have a multitude of very severe infections. Perform the necessary task below and get back to me as soon as possible.

My name is Trevuren and I will be assisting you with your log.

Finally, I need you to place HijackThis into its own folder, not a Temp folder.
HJT needs to be in its own folder so that the program itself isn't deleted by accident. Having the backups could be VITAL to restoring your system if something went wrong in the FIX process!

A. Please go to your 'My Documents' folder, right-click and select 'New > Folder' and name the folder 'HijackThis'.

B. Copy HijackThis into this newly createf folder.

C. Close ALL windows except HJT

D. SCAN with HJT and SAVE LOG. (a notepad window will open with the log in it when you click Save Log) (Ctrl-A to'select all', Ctrl-C to 'copy')

E. POST the log in this thread using 'Add Reply' (Ctrl-V to 'paste')

DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES OR CLICK "FIX CHECKED" UNTIL WE CHECK THE LOG, AS MOST OF THE FILES ARE LEGIT AND VITAL TO THE FUNCTION OF YOUR COMPUTER

Thank you sooo much for your QUICK reply. I am actually helping my cousin fix her computer so I only have access to it in the evening, so if you're wondering why it's taking me so long to reply that's the reason. I really appreciate your help with the computer!!!! :tazz: ;)

Hi fvalerio22,

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order in which they are mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.


1. First, I need you to move HijackThis to its own folder so that nothing gets deleted by mistake. The easiest way for you now would be as follows:

. Right Click on your Desktop
. Scroll down the menu to "New"
. Left click on "Folder"
. Name Folder "HJT"
. Drag current HijackThis icon from your desktop into the HJT Folder
. Run HJT from there.

2. Run HJT

3. Close ALL windows except HJT

Hi fvalerio22,

Your system has 2 serious infections running at the same time. One is called a Peper infection, the second , BUBE D. The second is the worst and the success rate is not great. To give ourselves the best chance at this, we will start by getting rid of junk that is in the way, by that I mean the Peper infection.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order in which they are mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.

You have the Peper Trojan. It is a very stubborn infection which requires a specific tool to remove. There are two tools available. Please follow these instructions in order:

1. Download Newuninst.exe.

2. Run it with an active internet connection.

3. Reboot to finish removing the entries it found.

4. Run the tool a second time (with an active internet connection).

5. Reboot to finish removing the entries it found.

6. Run HijackThis with all windows closed excepr for HijackThis, click on SCAN, produce a log and Post it back into this thread.

I can't gain access to the website that has that program I need to download Newuninst.exe, it's saying forbidden access to server I have an active internet connection so not sure what the problem would be????

I just ran the program and it said it did not find any peper files, should I still send a hijackthis log????

Sorry,
I have been out of town. Ok, I did a complete re-install of XP, will this remove the infections on the computer??? I will be working on the computer later tonight, let me know if you need me to send any logs or anything.
