Hi everybody,

I'm using Windows XP Pro and I am having a problem I hope you can help with. When I click Start>Search all it does is cause my taskbar to freeze. I have no idea what could be causing this but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Insert XP CD then cancel when loaded, click start then run then type sfc /scannow then press enter to replace missing system files, you get a blue bar which goes off when complete

Thank you for the advice but unfortunately it didn't work. Windows didn't find any missing files.
