Hi new friends... as this is my 1st post, i look 4wd to healthy replies!, i think there's plenty of good people here

I have a Pro/Wireless 2915ABG wireless card. I'm trying to access the Telkom 5102G router from a different room. When i view available wireless networks, i do pick it up my access point with full strength. When i press connect, it takes a while and would not connect. I can't even ping the route, says destination host unreachable. When i ipconfig, says media disconnected. Downloaded drivers and installed with no avail...

This is on XP machine...

If the router has been configured to use security encryption (one of two types, either WEP or WPA) you will need to enter it's access code in the wireless-card's management software.

Can you ping your PC's IP? You mentioned router and access point. Do you have both?
